Artist Statement

Every step is a journey towards brilliance, each footprint is a testament to our pursuit of dreams and the projection of hope. "Step by Step into Starlight" marks a new chapter in J-Yang's "Rainbow Babies" series, illuminating those small yet dazzling moments in life that remind us, even on winding paths, the light within always guides us forward.

 

In this journey through starlight, the Rainbow Babies lead the way. Hailing from the distant realms of the Rainbow Planet, they embody color and serve as symbols of love and hope. With their enchanting rainbow eyes, which appear as windows to the soul, we glimpse the infinite beauty of the cosmos and venture into the vast universe.

 

The inspiration for the Rainbow Babies springs from my two children, who have profoundly revealed to me the essence of happiness, luck, and hope. Through the creation of the Rainbow Babies, I weave childhood memories, imaginings of life, and reflections on love and the universe into my work, striving to portray a world vibrant with life and dreams.

 

Let us step into this world adorned with starlight, and with each stride, rediscover the inner glow that makes us the protagonists of our own lives.
