Liu Siu Him (b.1991) was born in Hong Kong. He graduated from the HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity and the Hong Kong Art School (fine art). After graduation, he worked in the toy industry for more than ten years, mainly engaged in cabinet art design and toy scene exhibition production. He has also loved collecting monster and robot toys since he was a child.
Most of the works are mainly paintings, but there are also sculptures. The themes are mostly based on fantasy special shooting scenes like Tokusatsu. He likes to use Hong Kong’s place names, history and landforms as the creative concept to combine it with some real people and things.
He hopes to assemble an alternative world view to read and re-experience familiar places and discover the Hong Kong monster.
